The Wandering Yank — AI Automation Agency

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

This policy explains what personal information The Wandering Yank (“we”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are an AI automation agency based in San Antonio, Texas.

1. Information we collect

  • What you give us. When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address and what you would like to automate. If you choose to add them, we also collect your phone number, business name and message.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) in server logs for security and reliability.
  • Your browser. We store your language choice (English or Spanish) in your browser’s local storage so we can remember it. We do not set advertising cookies, and we currently do not use analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, we will update this page.

2. How we use it

  • To reply to your request and schedule a conversation. When you send the contact form we save your request in our customer-management system and automatically email you two proposed times for a call; if you confirm one, we book it through our scheduling provider (Cal.com) and Google Meet, together with any answers you add to prepare the call.
  • To provide, maintain and improve our services and this website.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent abuse.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share it

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate (for example hosting, form processing, email, scheduling and customer-relationship tools), and only so they can provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires it or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Booking links

If you book a call through a third-party scheduling page, that provider’s own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.

5. Chat assistant

  • Who answers. Our website chat is answered by an AI assistant called Viki, not by a person. A member of our team may follow up afterwards.
  • What we ask first. Before the chat starts we ask for your name, business name, email, phone number and what you would like to automate. By continuing you accept this policy.
  • Where your details go. Your name, business name, email and phone number are stored in our own customer-management system and are not sent to the AI model. The text of your chat messages is sent to our AI service provider (currently OpenRouter and the AI model provider behind it) so it can write replies; before sending, we automatically remove email addresses and phone numbers typed into the chat. Please do not share sensitive information (such as health, financial or government ID details) in the chat. Some AI providers may keep the text they process under their own policies.
  • Conversation record. We keep a record of the conversation in our system so our team can prepare for and follow up on your request.
  • Booking a call in the chat. If you book a call, your name, email and time zone are processed by our scheduling provider (Cal.com) and by Google (calendar and Google Meet) to create and confirm the meeting.
  • WhatsApp. When we offer WhatsApp, we will receive your WhatsApp number and messages through Meta’s platform, and we will store them in the same way; Meta’s own policies apply to that channel.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as needed to respond to you and maintain our business relationship, or as required by law. After that we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, including Texas and other U.S. states, you may have additional privacy rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time the law requires.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
